Use higher range for 18K-23K 1050° - 1350° F

United # HTM 360 standard yellow alloy is formulated for 9K – 23 K Standard Yellow Gold Casting and sheet, plate & wire fabrication giving a Bright Yellow color. Alloy # HTM 360 can be used for casting also.

MELTING The # HTM 360 Standard Yellow Alloy and fine gold should be melted together in a clean crucible. Put alloy in the bottom of the crucible and fine gold on top. Initial melting temperature should be 950ºC - 980º C for 9K – 14K, and 1100ºC - 1120º C for 18K – 23K. Drop temperature somewhat before pouring as listed below. Boric acid flux may be used to keep the metal clean during the melting process. The metal should be mixed well with a stirring rod before pouring to assure a good mix.

POURING TEMP 9K – 14K - 950ºC - 980º C 1742º F - 1796º F)

FOR INGOTS 18K – 23K - 1100º - 1110º C (2012º F - 2030º F)
